The lifecycle of flowers and plants bring a dynamic sense to a space. Their appearance changes: color, smell, shapes, slowly reveal the flow of time whereas most objects remain still. However, most floral paintings tend to capture the best moments of plants through methods of visual idealization.
Ephemera is a combination of 2 types of basic home decorations: painting, and vase, in order to celebrate the lifecycle of cut plants, demonstrating the life and death of a living entity. The framed screen takes traditional Chinese painting paper texture as a reference. Light from the frame edge projects the shadow of flowers on the screen, showing the little life journey of flowers on the textured screen.
